How do I apply?
There are various ways in which to apply for Bradgate Sixth Form; currently you an apply via PS16 and will soon be able to apply directly through our new application system (launched October 2026). Alternatively a paper copy of the form can be provided for you from the Bradgate Sixth Form office. The application form should be completed and returned to Admissions, Bradgate Sixth Form, Parkstone Road, Syston, Leicester. LE7 1LY or emailed to info@b6.bepschools.org
We have strict entry requirements for a place at Bradgate Sixth Form and additional criteria for English Literature, Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. For details please see Entry Criteria
Important dates in the Admission Process
| 31st January – Final date for all applications. | You will receive a letter acknowledging receipt of your application. |
| February / March | You will be invited to attend an interview. If your application and interview are successful, you will offered a place at Bradgate Sixth Form on the condition you achieve the entry requirements. |
| June | Year 12 Induction Day – Information will be sent to applicants |
| Thursday 19th August 2027 | GCSE Results day |
What happens when I have applied?
Your application will be processed and in February or March you and your parents will be invited to attend an interview with a member of the Senior Leadership Team to discuss your subject choices in greater depth. Your attendance, effort, mock results and assessments will be taken into consideration; as this will provide an indication of the grades you are likely to achieve in the summer. When your courses have been agreed you will be made a conditional offer for a place in the Sixth Form.
What happens once I have my Results?
The GCSE results are issued on Thursday 20th August 2026. You will be expected to attend an enrolment interview where we will discuss your results and you will make your final subject choices. Your attendance, effort, punctuality and commitment to learning will all form part of the decision to offer you a firm place. You will need to bring documentation confirming your exam results.
All applicants must meet the entry requirement and an offer of a place is dependent on references from the applicants previous school.
